DL Kenny Smith signed

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff April 22, 2008 05:50 PM

The Patriots signed veteran free agent defensive lineman Kenny Smith today.

Smith was also with the Patriots in 2007 training camp but was cut before the season began. Once again, he faces long odds to earn a roster spot. The 6-foot-4-inch, 303-pound Smith adds depth at the end spot, where he lined up last summer in training camp.

Here is a biography from the Patriots on Smith.

The team also finalized the signing of punter Scott Player.

  1. Marcus Pollard is 36???!?!!?!?!?!?!!?

What the H are we thinking, throwing age into our O-line? I realize experience is helpful, but come on man!

That has got to be a typo. Maybe Pollard lied about his age early on in life so he could consume adult beverage, and now he can't admit the truth....

Maybe the emperor isn't as wise as we once thought; maybe vader will overthrow him.....
