Groves on the radar
The Patriots are scheduled to host DE/OLB Quentin Groves on a pre-draft visit at Gillette Stadium, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
The Tribune-Review piece was published today, the day Groves is scheduled to visit the Steelers.
At 6-foot-3, 259 pounds, Groves would project to outside linebacker in the Patriots' 3-4 alignment. He is also the type of player who would be part of sub packages, potentially rushing out of a two-point stance.
In other schemes, such as the Colts' 4-3 alignment, Groves would be more of a pure lineman on early downs.
Groves is projected as a first-round draft choice.
In addition to Groves, the Patriots are hosting DE/LB Darrell Robertson and CB Antoine Cason today.

Even knowing how unpredictable the Patriots are when it comes to drafting, I would put money on them staying at 7 and drafting an OLB. The kind of guys who fit BB's mold of a good OLB prospect are rare, and they always go early in the draft. Now he finally has a chance to get one of these guys, and he'll take that oppurtunity.
This kid wants the Steelers to draft him:
"Ever since I was little, I was always a Steeler fan,'' said Groves, who grew up in Mississippi and told people at the NFL Scouting Combine in February that he wants the Steelers to draft him. "When I saw that black and gold for the first time, it was like, 'man, I love the way those guys play defense.'
