Punter Berger visits Pats

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff April 16, 2008 07:14 AM

The Patriots visited with free-agent punter Mitch Berger on Tuesday at Gillette Stadium.

The 35-year-old Berger first punted in the NFL in 1994, with most of his work coming in domes. He punted in five games for the Cardinals last season.

The Patriots currently have Chris Hanson under contract at punter, and they might be considering bringing another leg to camp.

  1. They should check out some aussie AFL players, they have tremendous foot skills and good length and hang time generally, plus bad weather wouldn't be an issue.
