Ruud the pick at 197
The Patriots have selected Nebraska LB Bo Ruud with the 197th selection of the draft, in the sixth round.
That is the team's final selection.

didnt we already draft an OLB? i think they should have used this pick on a defensive or offensive lineman.
but it was a pretty solid draft all around

Bo is the brother of Tampa Bay starting MLB Barret Ruud. I have watched him closely over the last few years. Bo has all the skills that his brother has and might be a bit faster. His biggest problem was being stuck in a horrible defensive scheme under an inept defensive coordinator. Under Head Coach Callahan and defensive coordinator Cosgrove, Nebraska's defense went from a perrenial top 10 overall, and always solid against the run, to one of the worst defenses in college ball, as evidenced by allowing over 40 points in multiple games last year.
Bo could be a steal. If he had played under better coaching, he may well have matched his brother's 2nd round selection status.
Wonderful. Does anyone know anything about this cornhusker?
Bo, like all of the Ruuds that have played at NU (Bo, brother Barrett, and father Tom) is a workaholic, unselfish and football savvy player. I would watch for him to make a name on ST, before eventually working his way into the mix at ILB.
I would be surprised if he doesn't make the roster THIS year.

this draft overall has been curious and disappointing.
