Saturday draft plan

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff April 26, 2008 08:39 AM

The NFL Draft begins at 3 p.m. today, and the Patriots' top decision-makers will be gathered at Gillette Stadium. The team sends two officials to New York to submit the official choices.

Most New England media members covering the draft will be at Gillette Stadium as well. For those looking for a general guideline as to how things will unfold, here is a projection:

  • 3 p.m. -- Draft begins
  • 3:50 p.m. -- Approximate time of the No. 7 pick (owned by Patriots)
  • 9:30 p.m. -- Approximate time of the No. 62 pick (owned by Patriots)

At some point along the way, Patriots coach Bill Belichick will address the media in a press conference.

The plan will be to pass along updates along the way.
