TE DeVree set for tryout

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff April 29, 2008 09:14 AM

Former Colorado University tight end Tyson DeVree is scheduled to take part in the Patriots' rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, the Longmont Daily Times-Call reports today.

The Patriots seemingly would be a good spot for any tight end looking to hook on, as the team did not draft anyone at the position.

The depth chart includes Benjamin Watson, David Thomas, Marcus Pollard, Stephen Spach, and Jonathan Stupar. Watson is coming off ankle surgery and Thomas missed most of last season with a foot injury.

  1. Looks like there are three (3) roster spots available for the tryout candidates.
