51 for Mayo

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff May 2, 2008 09:00 AM

The Patriots' rookie minicamp begins today at Gillette Stadium, and first-round draft choice Jerod Mayo will be wearing No. 51.

That doesn't necessarily mean that Mayo will don 51 on a permanent basis throughout the season, as numbers could change due to offseason player movement.

Before heading out to practice, which starts at 10:15 a.m., the plan will be to pass along the full list of numbers.

The morning practice will be held inside the Dana-Farber Field House.

  1. You omitted Kenny Cattouse RB why? Is he or is he not one of the UFA pickups?
From what I've learned he could be a sleeper. What say you?
