Kraft on owners' decision

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff May 21, 2008 06:35 AM

Patriots owner Robert Kraft shared his thoughts on the owners' decision to opt out of the final two years of the collective bargaining agreement (2011 and 2012) in today's Boston Globe.

"It's gotten a little out of whack," Kraft said. "Any long-term relationship always has to be recalibrated to get back in line."

Kraft also spoke on the issue to the NFL Network, and that video is posted on NFL.com.

Kraft is naturally looking at the issue through the lens of management. The players' perspective is represented by NFLPA executive director Gene Upshaw, who believes owners are asking for too much.

More on the players' view can be found at the NFL Players Association web site.
