Moss's attire a hot topic in West Virginia

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff May 22, 2008 10:37 AM

The Charleston Daily Mail reports today that WR Randy Moss's choice of attire at a recent Boston Celtics game has created a stir in his home state of West Virginia.

Moss was spotted on national television wearing a black and white, custom-made West Virginia University jacket. The image apparently generated some passionate message-board discussion between WVU and Marshall University fans.

Moss is a Marshall alum. His lawyer and agent, Tim DiPiero, cautioned anyone to read too much into the attire.

"He likes the school he went to and supports it more than WVU," DiPiero said in the piece. "But he follows WVU as well. Don't read too much into it. He likes to wear all that fun stuff."

  1. Mike, we appreciate all the great reporting you've done for us Patriots fans... but honestly, I don't give a damn about Randy Moss' attire. Haha, I just care about what he does on the field.

I guess this just shows us how slow the news is right now. We're in one of the two "great pauses." The one before mandatory minicamp the first, the one before training camp the second.
