    1. That's really tough. It's down to Nance or Coates for me, but I have to go with Coates.

    1. Jon Morris was and is a great guy and player in one of the most difficult positions
on the field.....he also is a great family man....

    1. How can Jim Nance not already be in the Patriots Hall of Fame?

    1. All three are more than deserving of the honor but I agree with you, Gene. It was not easy being a Patriot during the lean years and I voted for the guy in the trenches who opened up the holes for Nance.

    1. JON MORRIS. Center is the one position on the football field where you are expected to be as intelligent as the quarterback AND as physical as any Linebacker, Tackle, or Defensive End. The first player to touch the ball on each play, the caller of the line calls, the non-verbal leader of the huddle. On punts and field goals, Center is the only player who is required to crouch vunerably with his head between his knees, facing away from the field in order to perform with accuracy. Jon Morris performed this job with dignity and leadership, bringing glory to a position falsely known as being expendable. "The shortest distance between the defense and the quarterback is the Center"
