Walsh: No Rams walkthrough tape
Former Patriots employee Matt Walsh has certified in writing that he's turned over all videotapes in his possession to the NFL, and the St. Louis Rams walkthrough prior to Super Bowl XXXVI is not among them. Walsh certified in writing that he's turning over eight stolen tapes, from 2000-2002.

So, as expected, Walsh turns out to be nothing more than an attention seeker. And still, no one in the national media will come out and actually detail the finer points of what the taping actually entailed, how it could easily be interpreted as legal by the rules back when these tapes were created, AND how the tapes were clearly extensively edited, demonstrating signals from the coaches followed by time and footage of the corresponding play, which is a clear indication that they were created for the purpose of future scouting, rather than for use in game to "cheat". This entire saga makes me sick, I want the Patriots' first round pick that was taken returned, the punishment was levied by that utter failure of a commissioner Goodell to satisfy jealous fans of other franchises frustrated with the Patriots' success.
thanks for wasting our time, matt.
good to hear! it would have been nice if walsh came out and said that he didn't have a rams walkthough tape from the get-go.
Excellent.
Nothing we didn't already know. Now people can move on.
I've had several immediate reactions. A little relief as this sets up Walsh to really look foolish releasing only things he stole for which the Patriots are already in full admission and have already been punished. The Steelers tape will peeve them a bit more for justification in their minds that's why we won that AFC Championship game even though facts simply refute that point.
If Walsh didn't surrender the tape of the Adam V kick against the Raiders, reported missing from his camera, then there may be some investigation as he was required to turn over all stolen property to avoid prosecution.
Go Pats!

So, 1000 news stories later, there is nothing behind this other than what we knew on day 1. Ironically, and sadly, many non-Patriot fans will be disappointed by this outcome. Too bad so sad...
Should we be concerend though?
*****Offensive***** and defensive signals of Dolphins coaches from a game Oct. 7, 2001.
"If it's just taping of *****defensive***** signals, we know that," Goodell said April 2 at the NFL's annual meeting in Palm Beach, Fla. "The Patriots admitted to that. He seems to imply that he has something different and certainly something I would be concerned with if it's true. So, I'd like to see the evidence."
I am curious as to who the undisclosed source is in the article about taping the rams walkthrough .Will another matt walsh type step up hope not .
