Catching up with Romeo

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff June 16, 2008 07:42 AM

It's been three seasons since Romeo Crennel was hired as head coach of the Browns, his work as Patriots defensive coordinator helping earn him the coveted job.

As Crennel enters his fourth year as Browns head coach, the Cleveland Plain Dealer writes on how Crennel was influenced by both of his parents. The piece also includes the seven "Romeo rules".

It's a nice read on one of the truly nice guys in the NFL coaching ranks.

  1. Cleveland seem to hate the Pats more than any other team - they hate Belichick with a venom reserved for dictators. Still I can't help but pull for the Browns only because of RAC's time here in N.E. - what a great guy. I remember the day he was hired; Belichick was unabashedly beaming at his coup at getting RAC. BB said he only knew one thing that day - the Patriots were better that day than the day before. RAC's coaching career has had a few setbacks but it's great to see him enjoying success - he's earned it.

  1. All the best to RAC. If the Pats don't represent the AFC this year in SB XLIII I hope it is RAC's Cleveland Browns. He is a class act all the way, and all good fortune to him and his team.
