Another full-pads practice

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff July 27, 2008 08:40 AM

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots have taken the field for their first of two scheduled practices today. The session is being held on the upper practice fields behind Gillette Stadium, and players are in full pads.

That means that of the Patriots' first six training camp practices, five have been in full pads, which reflects how Bill Belichick and the Patriots' staff are introducing plenty of contact work to the players.

For fans considering coming to this morning session, it is open to the public despite some wet weather earlier this morning.

The plan will be to watch the practice, and then come back and post some obsverations around noon.
