Mike Reiss, Christopher L. Gasper and the rest of the Globe team provide regular updates –and a behind-the-scenes look– on the daily happenings of the Patriots.

Chris, what has been the patriots deal in the past in regards to picking up players that get cut from other teams? You think the team is set with the players they have no? or for example, if they had a bubbly guy like vince redd make the roster, but a offensive lineman they value becomes available, do they move redd to the practice squad to make room? i guess after following the team for so long i could answer my own question and say they'll do what they think makes the team better, but i wanted to catch your opinion on it
did i type bubbly instead of bubble?
