Opening coin toss

The Patriots won the opening coin toss (calling tails), and in a change from the past three games when they won the toss, they elected to receive instead of deferring their choice to the second half.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick had indicated that he would defer the choice throughout the year, so it will be interesting to hear why the team changed tonight.
