  1. Hi Mike, If lynch is healthy he would be a super pickup, as one of the games hardest hitters he still puts fear in recievers heads.

  1. Do what you failed to do in 04 - sign John Lynch. He's an animal!

  1. I think Lynch would make a good Patriot. He is a large and smart and can still run. It would be interesting to see him side-by-side Rodney harrison.

  1. I'm a Pat's fan in Colorado...Lynch is still hungry and has a chip on his shoulder after being shown the door by the donkey's..he'll be effective in certain situations and knows the game

sign him to an incentive laiden contract and get him on the team!

  1. Lynch and Harrison would feed off of each other's intensity. Dynamic Duo! Sign him now!

  1. does anyone not realize that putting lynch and harrison on the field at the same time would significantly limit the amount of speed in the secondary? Both of the guys are old and in the twilight of their carreers. I can see having one or the other on the field, because they bring smarts, instict, and a heavy shoulder, but niether of them is great in coverage or closing speed. Just my thoughts....

  1. Often times experience can get you to a spot on the field just as fast as speed can. A guy like Lynch would rarely find himself out of position and if he is on that spot you can trust him to make the play. He does not have to play every down to be a major factor. Lynch has always shown a nose for finding the ball and there is no reason that would change. Even if he has lost a step or two, if they are planning on him being the Tank Williams replacement at hybrid safety/linebacker and they keep him closer to the line of scrimmage...who doesn't think this guy will lay vicous hits on people? You never forget how to do that!

  1. you do forget how to do that after a major neck surgery...ok, maybe you dont forget, but you sure aren't as willing...

I am not discounting signing him, because i actually think he would be better than tank...but to think that he and rodney could occupy both safety spots on a third down, passing situation is a bit ignorant.

  1. People were saying the same thing about Seau not having enough speed. Lynch and Harrison are not going to both be on the field for every down. Like Reiss has said before (I think), they are going to use Lynchie sparingly.

  1. Signing John Lynch is a no-brainer for NE & Company. I can't wait to get this season started and put the Super Bowl loss behind us. Pure and simple, it was a fluke of nature that the Giants won. Like NE in 2001, the Giants got hot and went all the way. This season will be completely different. The Giants have the monkey on their back and will blow it big time. I give them a 50/50 chance of going 8-8. NE, however, has all the reasons to go 16-0 again but this time, wiping out the competition completely through the playoffs and Super Bowl. Say what you want about how great the team is (and I've been a fan for over 30 years) but they need to destroy their opponents like the Niners and Cowboys did of old. These three-point wins always leave people saying just how close it was for them. Anyone remember that 46-10 thrashing by the Bears in 1986? For once, I would love to see Brady & Company blow out a team in the Super Bowl and end all this talk about, "just how good are they?" I see this season as the "Seal the Deal" one for NE - a chance to re-write history with back-to-back undefeated seasons and this time, a 58-3 blowout in the Super Bowl. That out to cement this team as one of the all-time greats.

As for Lynch on board, yeah, I wish he joined them in 2004 - we might have beat Denver that year and gone for our third Super Bowl in a row. Oh well, it's never too late in NE!
