Report: Patriots claim OT LeVoir off waivers from Rams
The Patriots have claimed offensive tackle Mark LeVoir off waivers from the St. Louis Rams, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports today (see last line of story).
LeVoir, who played in college in Notre Dame, has not appeared in an NFL game.
The Patriots had just six linemen at practice today, and have just eight on the final roster. LeVoir makes nine.

we have something like 6or7 millon under the cap,and we sign this guy who hasent played one snap i dont get it.there are much better O-Linemen out there.we have 3 te,s,and we sign another.we need a better back-up QB.we need a great veteran corner.
The Patriots had only signed 6 players to their 2008 practice squad as of this morning. They are allowed to sign 8 players to the practice squad. So my question is are these 2 players going to be added to the active roster or are they practice squad additions?
Are we really going to pass on Sims and go withCasselll again after what he has shown in the pre -season ??? Don't make any sense at all ....
Jerie I believe if you claim a player off waivers they have to go to your 53 man roster.
Didn't the rams have the worst o-line in the legue last year?
Just what we don't need - another finesse OL in the borderline-to-barely adequate range of athleticism and who lacks strength and power. No wonder we can't run the ball against above average teams without two running backs and/or an extra tight end in the game.
NEWSFLASH: WILLIE ANDERSON!!!! WILLIE ANDERSON!!!!!
The Pats may open with 3 OL, 1RB, and 6 wideouts Sunday
