Super Bowl highlights play on scoreboard

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff August 28, 2008 07:20 PM

The Giants just played their top five highlights from Super Bowl XLII on the scoreboard during a break in the first quarter.

As each play was shown, the scattered crowd here at Giants Stadium cheered.

  1. I thought we were going to get updates from Giants Stadium? So there has already been a touchdown scored and not a single play is mentioned here?

  1. I want to be the first to say this word for 2008; 'CLASSLESS!' New Yorkers have to celebrate last year, look at their scrub teams this year...the Yanks..LOL! Knicks...no words!

  1. Let them enjoy entering the title discussion before the decade ended. Hey, it's not easy to muster titles when you have 20 teams in the NY/NJ area.

  1. Whatever...the Giants have been celebrating their title more than any other team since the 2004 Red Sox. Now, I think it goes without saying the Sox had a good reason to march around for a calender year. I think it's time the Giants calm themselves, seeing as their team has been gutted since last year.
