Tom Brady follow-up

Following up on quarterback Tom Brady, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported last night that Brady's injury is a deep bone bruise on his right foot. Mortensen's report came on the "Monday Night Countdown" program.

When media members filed into the Patriots' locker room today, a pair of crutches was seen in Brady's locker, one day after a walking boot was spotted there.

Don't jump to conclusions, however.

Members of the offensive line have been known to play practical jokes with Brady, while Brady himself is often quick with a prank.

Have any of the players come out to parking lot to find their car on blocks this year? Or maybe a car filled with popcorn?

The Pats are masters of deception. I bet BB ordered those crutches into his locker. Tom Brady has been on the injury report every week for the last 6 years.

I love it! I can't wait to see what ESPN does when the prosthetic leg is found propped up against Brady's locker. ESPN are chumps.

ESPN= most gullible new outlet in the world... they will take anything and run with ot with out any facts, credibilty or research, the Boston herald is a close second

Yah right!! I'm sure their opponents are "gearing up" for Cassel and his power offense. Really, what have the Pats got to hide and why? Making believe Brady has a bad foot will get em to the Super Bowl again???

Chris Mortensen is batting like 0.100 this year, too. I wouldn't trust him for anything.

I really believe Brady had a minor injury during the playoff, which affected him alot in the super bowl. he was coming up short on deep balls to Moss and the offensive line didnt even perform well to reduce the "ware and tare" on Brady's injured ankle. I mean Brady is the golden boy and he'll get through it and bring us back to the super bowl. Honestly we should focus on the horrible corners we have.........man!....Brin back Ty Law pleeease!

Let's be real.... BB didn't order any crutches. I believe it could've been a teammates joke. But i AM starting to worry about the health of #12. Without him, we are a 4-12 team....

From what I heard on ESPN, Mortensen said Brady "had" a deep bone bruise when he originally suffered the injury awhile back. He said the Pats were ecstatic he would be ready to after initial fears Brady might have had a stress fracture in the foot but a CT scan showed just a deep bone bruise. Mortensen wasn't sensationalizing.
