Bill Belichick's reaction

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff September 21, 2008 05:02 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- Bill Belichick opened his post-game press conference with the following statement:

"Well, there is not too much to say here. I thought that Miami played a real good football game. They did everything a lot better than we did. They outplayed us. They outcoached us. They certainly dominated on offense and defense. I thought we were competitive in the kicking game but that was about it -- not on the offense or defensive sides of the ball. They obviously deserved to win. They were the better team and they did everything a lot better than we did today. Not too much to say."

  1. Bill, you were completely outcoached in this game. This reminded me of the super bowl when your staff failed repeatly to move the ball on offense. Instead, it was the defensive gameplan (or lack thereof) that did us in. I think it's about time that we move back to an attacking defense rather than the passive one we utilize at the moment.

  1. Hey BB, tell the truth, your Offensive Coordinator is a little boy playing in a Big Boy's league. And, your defensive coordinator, today, got badly outcoached by an offensive coordinator who saw our weaknesses and exploited them.

Unfortunately the boy OC we have on our side of the ball still hasn't a clue how to run an offense, no matter who the quarterback is.

And, please, dont give me that crap that our OL was the problem. It was the feeble play calling by McDaniels that allowed their offensive line to tee off, knowing on almost every series, what was coming.

Try eccepting the truth for a change coach, McDaniels is the weakest link on this team.

  1. This same'ol smug & mum approach at press conferences is not going to sit well with fans if the team continues to play like this. You have to demonstrate you know what you're doing on the field or be prepared to explain your losses at the press conferences . Otherwise he just looks and sounds clueless.

  1. Reality Check:

Josh McDaniels was the Coordinator of the highest scoring offense in league history last year. This was a bad game and it may be a long season. Lets chill.
