Brady visits

Posted by Chad Finn, Globe Staff September 10, 2008 01:11 PM

Patriots receiver Randy Moss revealed during a national conference call that injured quarterback Tom Brady was at Gillette Stadium this afternoon visiting with his teammates and was in "good spirits."

"He's still upbeat," Moss said. "You'd expect a guy to be down . . . he was more down on Sunday. We had a few conversations, a few texts. But he's the same old Tom Brady.

"It's uplifting, seeing him [today] with a positive attitude, and that goes a long way."

Moss did not say how long Brady stayed. During the time the players were available to the media, a chair draped with clothing was in front of Brady's locker.

  1. I will miss Tom SO MUCH, he is the reason I have been a Patriots fan since he started playing, I wish him well, and hope he can come back, he is just a wonderful person, and didn't deserve this.

  1. I'm not surprised to read that quote from Moss. Brady knows the deal and he's a natural leader. He doesn't point fingers when the Pat lose, he shares credit when they win, and he always seems to be thinking TEAM. He comes across as a very positive guy, and there's really no reason to think that he won't recover completely.

When I see Rodney Harrison running around out there after his horrible kneee injury a few years ago, I've got to like Bradys chances of making a full recovery.

This will be a tough test for the Pats, but I'm not surprised that Brady is showing up and supporting his team mates. I don't think that Cassel will have a bigger fan.

  1. I agree with RobDog, Brady is the Class of the NFL. Actually reminds me of another quarterback who was sidelined with injury back in 2001 and had to watch his backup take the reins. Bledsoe also handled himself with class in that situation...

  1. Brady is the best , hands down. We're all lucky to root for a team he plays on. Regarding Rob's comments about Rodney Harrison, I agree, it is likely he makes a full recovery, he's not a scrambler anyway, so it will have less effect on him that maybe it have on McNabb. My son had the same injury and surgery two years ago...it's a long and tough rehab, glad he's got a good attitude about it.

  1. Sports fans love two things - athletes who are the absolute best at what they do and a fantastic comeback story - Brady has a chance to do both. Can't wait to see Brady cheering on Cassell & the team this year and then be back at full strength for 2009!

  1. I have no doubt Tom will make a godd rcovery. Lets not forget he was not fast at all before his injury. He excelled at reading D's and knowing when and where the pressure was coming from and avoinding it. He did not out run anyone. As a matter of fact sometimes when he ran he looked like he was im slow-mo!! LoL Anyway, Tom get better and we will be waiting roe you next year. Go Pats!!!!!
