Participation report

Posted by Chad Finn, Globe Staff September 11, 2008 04:09 PM

The Patriots released their Thursday participation report and Randy Moss, who was seen on the field during the media-access portion of practice, was listed as having limited participation due to a back injury.

Also of note: Ellis Hobbs and Lewis Sanders, the starting cornerbacks in the opener against the Chiefs, both had limited participation today. They were not listed yesterday.

The report:

Did Not Participate in Practice

  • TE Sam Aiken (knee)
  • TE Benjamin Watson (knee)

    Limited Participation in Practice

  • WR Jabar Gaffney (knee)
  • WR Randy Moss (back)
  • LB Eric Alexander (calf)
  • CB Ellis Hobbs (shoulder)
  • CB Lewis Sanders (head)

    1. I may be wrong, but I have to admit I am getting tired of Ben Watson and his injuries. i know that sounds cold but this man cannot seem to stay healthy and when we need him more than ever he is sidelined yet again. i understand that nobody asks for injuries, but once injured he never seems to comeback to full speed. I am hoping Thomas will step it up but if watson can get back on the field it would help give the Patriots another dimension that they really need with Brady hurt. Most of what I am saying is just out of frustration, no imsult is intended
