Practice report

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff September 25, 2008 12:07 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots held their Thursday practice on the upper fields behind Gillette Stadium (11:15 a.m.) and they were in full pads for the second day in a row.

"Football is football. Football isn't played in shorts and T-shirts," said safety Rodney Harrison, who returned to practice after missing Wednesday's session. "If the coach says full pads, that's what we put on. We have plenty of time to rest up."

Four players were not spotted at the media-access portion of the workout:

  • WR Kelley Washington
  • CB Lewis Sanders
  • LB Eric Alexander
  • OT Mark LeVoir

Media members were present for stretching and a few individual drills.
