Singletary talks Patriots

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff September 29, 2008 04:15 PM

Pro Football Hall of Famer Mike Singletary, who now serves as assistant head coach/defense for the San Francisco 49ers, spoke about his transition from player to coach with the Boston Globe as part of the Sunday NFL Notes.

At the end of the interview, Singletary shared his thoughts on the Patriots.

"I have a tremendous amount of respect for Coach Belichick, and the things he's been able to do in that organization," he said. "The work ethic. The class. The character. All of the things that go into building a great championship team. I don't know Coach Belichick personally. I've met him, just to say hello. For me, what he and Mr. Kraft have done to build an organization is pretty remarkable. The players that they have, and the attitude and work ethic -- which go hand-in-hand -- they have set a roadmap for a lot of teams and a lot of coaches in terms of how to get it done."

  1. Speaking of Capers ...

Where the heck has influence been through the first month of the season ?
We heard about all these exotic blitz schemes and killing qb's ...

We kinda need that right now, don't we ?
