I have always disliked the Chiefs and whether Pollards play was fair or not fair it was dirty. There is a fine line between making something happen and playing dirty in the NFL and he crossed it. I heard that Brady may have torn his ACL. I just tore my ACL on June 21. I had the surgery on July 30. Its not as bad as people say it is. The only bad part is not playing for 6 months, but it will be fine Brady.

Vince Wilfork was fined for it last year (on a play where he was quite literally pushed into the quarterback). I know that everyone around the league hates the Patriots but Bernard Pollard - who has a reputation as a dirty player - should not get away with breaking the rules. Football is not UFC. There is no place in football for the Bernie Pollard / Jack Tatum types.

It is ridiculous to call the play a "cheap shot". The defender was on his knees when he made the tackle. It is obvious that there is a lot of emotion in the accusers words, but it was not a cheap shot. This is football, not table tennis. Please, get the emotions out of it and see it as it was. All you people screaming for the pats to bring in a veteran......PLEASE......Rattay and Simms have both started in the NFL and both proven not to get the job done. Hell Tony Romo sat on the bench for FOUR YEARS, with the ancient Testaverde starting..........Give Cassel the chance.

One thing I love about Belichek is that he always keeps the opponents guessing... You feel me.. Don't sleep. He prepares for every team differently. The pats roster is deep. Belichek makes players into superstars and then champions. Look what he's done to fifth round picks. The injury added a little twist to the season but i'm excited. The ending will be the same just a little more interesting. Let's be honest! Most of the pats games last year were boring cuz we were so dominating. We weren't 16-0 just because of Brady... hello?! Eli Manning's expression showed how much of a fluke the superbowl was. He even admitted his luckyness on talk shows. And I ain't even going to bring up the helmet catch. THIS IS FOR EVERYONE! IF YOU THINK THE PATS ARE NO LONGER A CONTENDER, GO TO SLEEP. ITS GOING TO BE ANOTHER LONG YEAR FOR THE HATERS!!! GO PATRIOTS, GO REDSOX, GO REVOLUTION, GO CELTICS, AND GO BRUINS BECAUSE THEY GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR TOO. HOLLA!

No it was not a dirty hit!

What it was though, was an inexcusable attempt at a low probability play that surely could have only resulted in two things: an unecessary usage of energy, and or an injury. In this case it was both; unfortunately for Brady he was the victim of a school yard football play that hasn't been evident inside the NFL for sometime now. Even as kids we're taught to scramble back to our feet and quickly try to place our hands anywhere on the quarter back above the waist and below the helmet. Watch countless tapes of second efforts by some of the NFL's greats and you will quickly see what I mean. Even when down and out, they attempt to gather their feet and make a play on the quarterback "ABOVE" the waist. I don't however blame Pollard for his actions, its common place for sub par players to make thoughtless decisions on their playmaking attemps. Perhaps though it is merely an overreaction simply because it was arguably the best quarter back in NFL history - well he probably doesn't have a shot at that title anymore....Thanks POLLARD.
