This team is toast tonight and Cassel is not even serviceable. I've never seen such little pocket presence in my life and he buckles under any type of pressure. He can't throw a deep ball and teams know it. He had Moss twice and couldn't even put it in the area code.

Sorry Mike, but this game got away from the Pats the moment that Matt Cassel took the field in the first quarter.
In fact, Belichick let the entire season get away when he kept Cassel on the team and then made the worst decision in the history of the Pats by naming him the starter when Brady got hurt.

I haven't felt this down about the Pats since Rod Rust. Cassel can't run this offense. The secondary is a joke. Pat's will go 6-6 at best.

What I am reading here about Matt Cassel is about the same thing that Pats fans have believed abaout him since the first season he was on the team. And yet, Belichick kept him around, probably thinking that fans are dumb and that he knows better.

How can people be mad at McDaniels? Would you run a play that requires Cassel to throw it more than 10 yards? They guy doesn't even have someone who can throw as his QB, what do you expect? Yes, Cassel gets at lot of blame, he looks to run TOO MUCH. Thats why he missed at least 3 TDs, and we dont' even know how many completions he passed up to run.
However, we need DBs, really good DBs, O'Neal was picked on so bad, I felt sorry for him. It makes sense that he was cut by the bengals. The rookies other than mayo have been disappointing so far. I just hope next season all will be great.

I have been really been pulling for Cassell. Evertime he shows shows alittle bright spot he comes back and is horrible. I think you give him 1 more game to prove himself. If he has another subpar or really bad performance you sit him and put Oconnell in before the season is completly lost. Luckly we have a easy schedule. Cassell is confused in the pocket and looks lost. He gets sacked constantly. At first I was thought it was the Oline but really have started to see Cassell not make good desion in the rush. Tonight I think was worse than the Dolphins game. Its time to make some desions.We need to trade for a vet. QB or sign a free agent.

Is Bill B. losing his enthusiasm. This Pats team looks dreadful. Old,cant tackle,

I haven't seen a Patriots Offense be so uncreative since the Grogan years. What happened to all the wonderfully crafted offensive plays?? You know, always catching the other team by surprise? Cassel is completely ineffective and cannot function as a starting quarterback. He does not stay in the pocket and is easily sacked. I could have thrown better myself. The Patriots need to fix this quickly.

This game proves, once again, the Patriots are nothing without Tom Brady and their Defense has been living on reputation for 3 years. Zero pressure on Rivers, tons of pressure on Cassel, our secondary getting gutted, theirs making plays.
