Colts participation report

The Colts, who are on a short week after playing Monday night, held 11 players out of their practice today.

The Colts' participation report:

LB Gary Brackett (not injury related)
RB Clifton Dawson (concussion)

WR Roy Hall (knee)
DB Dante Hughes (ankle)
DB Marlin Jackson (knee)
DB Tim Jennings (not injury related)
DE Robert Mathis (not injury related)
RB Dominic Rhodes (ankle)
TE Tom Santi (shoulder)
WR Reggie Wayne (knee)

Limited Participation in Practice
LB Freddy Keiaho (knee)

  1. Quite interesting to see who did not practice because of a non injury. They also didn't even put Bob Sanders or Joseph Addai on this list. The Colts, to me, tend to send more of a statement with their injury/practice report at this point than the Pats.

  1. What is this "not injury related" stuff? I love how the Pats and Colts play games with their injury report whenever they play each other. I bet Coach Belichick does something similar this week to tweak the Colts back.

  1. Will, there's an answer if you're truly interested in knowing. Hopefully you know that everyone playing in the NFL right now is playing with an injury. Some players miss practice because of fatigue and the coach wants them fresh for Sunday or other reasons. It's normal stuff that happens every year and there will be more later on in the season for every team including the Patriots. It's not gamesmanship, just standard coaching.
