Expect to see TBC

Former Patriots outside linebacker Tully Banta-Cain, now in his second season with the 49ers, has been inactive for the first four games of the season. But it's looking more and more like Banta-Cain will be active for the first time this Sunday, when the Patriots come to town.

Manny Lawson's hamstring injury has opened the door for Banta-Cain.

Banta-Cain touched on his situation on the 49ers' official website, saying: “It has been frustrating. I think right now, my mind is on proving those wrong who think I shouldn’t have been playing this whole time. Now I get the opportunity to do it, so I just have to take full advantage of it so that now that I’m back out there, they won’t to inactivate me ever again.”

San Francisco head coach Mike Nolan said today that there is a better than 50-50 chance that Banta-Cain will the active.
