Hobbs back at practice

Posted by Christopher L. Gasper, Globe Staff October 30, 2008 01:09 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- After sitting out yesterday, Patriots cornerback Ellis Hobbs, who suffered a shoulder injury against the Rams last Sunday, was present at practice today and was seen participating in positional drills.

The Patriots are holding their afternoon practice inside the Dana-Farber Field House for the second straight day as they prepare for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Players not spotted at practice were:

RB Sammy Morris (knee)
CB Lewis Sanders (hamstring)
LB Shawn Crable (shin)

All three players did not participate in Wednesday's practice either

More good news for the Patriots was that running back LaMont Jordan was present for the start of practice for the second straight day.

Players were in shells (light shoulder pads) and sweatpants for practice. Media members were present for stretching and the start of positional drills.

  1. You gotta give it to Hobbs, he is as tough as they come. Always plays through injuries. I expect him out the Sunday night.

  1. Hobbs is the new Rosie Colvin. Never met a camera he didn't like. He gets beaten more than a junkyard dog. I'd rather take my chances with the rookies.

LOL "He gets beaten more than a junkyard dog." I love it, I wish I wrote that!

  1. It does not matter gentleman, our secondary cannot stop Peyton and Company. All we can hope for is that Mr. Sanders does not play his usual self and we can establish the run. Then Matt Cassell should have a decent game. This kid is coming around...
