LaMont Jordan back at practice

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff October 29, 2008 01:13 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots' running back corps received a boost today with the return of LaMont Jordan to practice.

Jordan has missed the team's last three games with a right calf injury.

Today's practice was held inside the Dana-Farber Field House and players were in shells (light shoulder pads) and sweatpants. The pace of the drills was high during the time media members were present.

Players not spotted at the media-access portion of practice included:

  • CB Ellis Hobbs
  • CB Lewis Sanders (updated 1:33 p.m.)
  • RB Sammy Morris
  • OLB Shawn Crable

CB Terrence Wheatley, WR/S Ray Ventrone, OLB Pierre Woods, OL Mark LeVoir and practice squad OLB Vince Redd wore black jerseys as the team's practice players of the week. The practice players of the week are those who the coaching staff feel best prepared the team in the days leading up to a victory.

    1. Good to hear that Jordan practiced hopefully he can play this week. the coaching staff didnt feel too comfortable with Ellis to give him alot of runs and he didnt have a great average so having a good running back for this game will be helpful because we dont want to give faulk too many carries
