No deals for Patriots

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff October 14, 2008 05:33 PM

The NFL's trading deadline has passed and, as expected, the Patriots did not swing a deal.

There were two trades in the NFL today:

  • The Cowboys acquired WR Roy Williams from the Lions.

  • The Colts acquired DL John McCargo from the Bills.

    1. Talk about desperation for the Cowboys! Are you kidding me? A 1st, 3rd, 6th and 7th rd pick for Roy Williams. Last I checked they still had TO, Clayton, Witten and BArber on offense. Is this really neccessary. You lost a QB not a WR. It makes sense that Detroit would make a good move after Matt Millen left town.

    1. Mike, think the Pats will bring in Napoleon Harris for a visit after being released today?

    1. Hey Mike...any thoughts on whether the Patriots took a look at making a move for Lito Shephard?

    1. Vote of confidence??? What choice does the cheater have? He's playing a high school quarterback and his backup is worse than him.

The patsys should have traded for Rex Grossman...he would be better than Cassel!!! Have a good year dudes...hehehe.
