Offensive participation
A look at the snaps played by offensive skill-position players in the Patriots' 23-16 win over the Rams:
(snaps do not include final three kneel-downs)
ANALYSIS: With the Patriots dressing just three healthy running backs, Kevin Faulk (44) became the workhorse at the position. ... BenJarvus Green-Ellis (18) started, but once the Patriots settled into their three-receiver attack on a more consistent basis, Faulk stayed on the field. ... Fullback Heath Evans (8) did not line up at running back. ... Randy Moss was part of every play except for the short-yardage package (no receivers), one play with three receivers and two running backs (Kevin Faulk screen), and one play with three receivers, one tight end, and one running back. ... Sam Aiken was the fourth receiver, playing three snaps in four-receiver sets, and one in the base three-receiver grouping.

When,When, When will a DB look back for the football? I am so tired of watching DB's (Hobbs in particular) get beat when they could look back and probably get a pick.
Win of Lose, this team is very hard to watch. Let's remember they have been playing some of the worth teams in the league and the Rams without Steven Jackson are probably in the bottom 3. So to squeak out a win at home is not saying much. They have not beat a legitimate playoff team yet (crushed by SD the only one they played.). I for one am still more interested in building for next year.
Play all the rookies, including O'Connell and/or Gutierrez. If we get lucky there is some chemistry and we build confidence and experience, if not, we find out and are rewarded with higher draft picks.
YO Rico--- I think BB and SP have proven that in today's nfl high draft picks are not the solution. If they were teams like Arizona, LA, Detroit, San Fran, Cincy, etc would be dominating.
I think this team has its challenges, but with brady out we should be looking for one thing: PROGRESS. If Matt can develop over the next 4-6 weeks into a solid qb, this team can make a run into January.
Plus, RICOMANDOG, your posts are some of the worth on this board.
As bad as the announcers were yesterday ... and trust me they were horrific.
They did point out some valuable info that I am sure the Pats have caught onto. Teams are not covering Randy Moss when he crosses the field because they are so afraid of the deep ball going over their heads and Cassel hit Moss twice. Just before half to set-up a field goal and on the winning TD drive. It is too bad de flat out dropped that ball in the end zone.
Just get better each and every week. Cassell is progessing nicely.
Did you mean the 3-5 chargers RICO? Now that would be a hard team to watch.
By the way you worth post hard to read. Also alot of the rookies are playing. I was also wondering if Morris is a bust now that he can't stay healthy?
Mike,
Can you provide a snap count for RG, Neil vs Yates? It was impossible to know who was playing as the announcers we had to suffer through offered ZERO insight. Keep up the good work, Matt
