Oliver Ross released
The Patriots announced that veteran offensive lineman Oliver Ross has been released.
Ross was signed as a veteran free agent June 2. He was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list with a shoulder injury Aug. 30, and has not played in a game this season.
The release of Ross, who did not count against the 53-man roster limit, indicates the Patriots must be pleased with their depth at tackle.
Nick Kaczur (right ankle) is close to a return to action. Second-year player Mark LeVoir has been filling in at right tackle the last two weeks. The Patriots also have Wesley Britt at the position.

hopefully it means they are adding a running back,or a corner.
well because he didnt count against the 53 man cap they cant add anyone without releasing more people correct?
Andrew: That's right. His release did not open any roster spots.
I say leave LeVoir in there. The protection seems a lot better since he has been at right tackle.
LeVoir has faced faced a horrible defensive line at Denver and played against a career backup at St. Louis cause Little got hurt early and against San Deigo the tight end was used to help him most of the game. But 9 sacks in two games is still good protection?
well, he was somewhere to be released.so it opens something up.
