Practice report

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff October 3, 2008 11:40 AM

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots held their Friday practice on the upper fields behind Gillette Stadium and were in shells (light shoulder pads) and shorts/sweatpants.

Three players were not spotted for the media-access portion of the session:

  • WR Kelley Washington (right ankle)
  • CB Lewis Sanders (hamstring)
  • LB Eric Alexander (hamstring)

Those players have missed all week of practice, making it unlikely they will be ready to suit up Sunday against the 49ers.

The wind was really whipping for the practice, which seemed to be a good thing as the team worked on its kickoff return game.
