Welcome to Qualcomm

SAN DIEGO -- Welcome to Qualcomm Stadium, where the Patriots visit the Chargers in a Sunday night football clash (8:15 p.m. EDT).

In terms of the elements, there are clear blue skies above and the temperature is currently 69 degrees. The temperature is expected to dip into the mid-to-low 60s by kickoff. No precipitation is expected, although winds will be something to watch in the kicking game. The orange flags atop the goal posts are fluttering.

The Chargers will wear their alternate Powder Blue uniforms tonight. The look was first made popular by the team in the 1960s and the team also wore those jerseys twice during its run to Super Bowl XXIX. The Chargers have won their last five games and six of their last seven in the Powder Blue uniforms.

Bill Leavy is scheduled to referee the contest.

We'll have more throughout the night.
