Patriots coach Bill Belichick held his regular Tuesday conference call today (noon) and here were a few nuggets of note:
Impressed with the Steelers. The focus has shifted from recapping the Dolphins' win to Steelers preparations. Calling them a "pretty impressive football team", Belichick talked about the Steelers, starting with their defense. "It's a defense ranked at the top of the league in just about everything -- rushing, passing, third down, red area, you name it," he said. "Nobody has 300 yards against them, and about half their possessions are three-and-outs. They're really solid across the board."
Slight alterations to Thanksgiving week schedule. Asked how the team's schedule might be altered this week with Thanksgiving, Belichick said it wouldn't be much different from a standard week. The team might roll a few extra things in Wednesday's practice to finish up a bit earlier on Thursday. "Everyone will still have enough time to have a good day with their families, which I think is important," he said.
No update on Matt Light situation. Belichick was asked if he'd heard anything from the NFL regarding the Matt Light/Channing Crowder situation. He said he didn't have anything to add to the situation.
Oh no....not Dumbell and Dumbdorf again...
