Brady in Foxborough
FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, sidelined for the remainder of the year with a knee injury sustained against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1 of the regular season, is back working out in Foxborough.
Brady wasn't spotted in the locker room during the period open to media this morning, but teammates confirmed he has been back in New England for at least a week. A big black knee brace sat beneath an all-black Boston Red Sox hat on the chair in front of Brady's locker (Check out the short video above for a glimpse).
"It's always good to see a teammate, especially if they're injured, and just talking to him and getting insights on what he's seen" in the team's play, running back Kevin Faulk said Tuesday. "He's always been contactable. I talked to him pretty much every other week. It's just, 'How are you doing?"'
And how is he doing?
"He's doing good," Faulk said.
Defensive end Jarvis Green said it was good to see Brady hanging around and smiling.
"It looks like he's in a good mood," Green said. "I just spoke to him a few times, joked with him, but it looks like he's OK."
Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, who started the season on the practice squad, has filled in and run for a touchdown in each of the last four games. In Sunday’s 20-10 win over Buffalo, he rushed for 105 yards on 26 carries.
With only three days between games, he’s been too busy preparing for the Jets to get Brady’s reaction to that performance.
"I haven’t seen him today," Green-Ellis said, but "I just like to hear his voice. I like the sound of his voice. ... He’s Brady. He’s cool. He’s real cool."
On Monday, tackle Matt Light confirmed Brady's return while talking on a weekly radio appearance on WAAF (97.7 / 107.3 FM).
“He's in there and doing everything you do at this point," said Light. "It's good to see him, good to have him back in there."
"Yeah, he comes in," added Light. "Hey, look: I was there and it's tough, it really is. Whenever you're injured, it's no fun to be around that atmosphere, but you do it and you come back. It's good for the guys, good to see him. Everyone's been worried about him, it's good to see him back in there."
Brady underwent knee surgery on Oct. 6 but later developed an infection that has some questioning his future prognosis. (For more on that, check out this story in today's Globe).

I don't have any children, but if I ever do, I will never ever take them on a plane until they are at least 3 or 4 years old, and only then if they are the particularly well-behaved type. There is no reason for a younger child to ever need to travel. Babies that young don't remember vacations, why bother taking them to Disney World? Do what my parents did when I was an infant -- drive to the beach! I had just as much fun eating sand than at Disney and at age 6, then I was mature enough to sit through a flight and appreciate it. As for relatives, have them fly to see you if they want to see the new baby. How difficult is that? A parents responsibility is to do what is necessary to keep his or her children well-mannered when they are out in public. That's how it works in a civilized society. If you can't do that, you should keep them at home or go to family-oriented places. You are within your rights to bring a screaming child out in public you want, but you won't get any pity from me.
Glad to hear that Brady is back at home and with his team. Good luck in the months ahead and in your recovery. Can't wait to have you back on the field!!!!
Good to hear Brady's back in Foxborough. Hope he recovers fully and plays for many more years for the Patriots. Wishing all the best.
Cassel is coming into his own though, and though he may be no Brady, he's good enough to take NE to the playoffs at least.
why did my comment end up here? it's the wrong discussion!
mggio ????? Its great Brady is back in Foxboro.Maybe he will be in Kraft's box on Thursday night watching the Pats beat the Jets AGAIN. JETS,=Just End The Season.
I hope we don't see Namath knees in his future!! Get FULLY well T.B.
mggio ... eh?
I agree, Brady's knee is nuisance just like unruly children and reality television. I personally chastise Brady's mom for coddling his knee. I mean this is a civilized civilization with citizens with a civil duty to be civil to one another... The nerve of those Bradys.
mggio, i realize your post is in the wrong section, but do yourself a favor and mind your own business. Take care of your children the way you feel they should be raised. A child flying prior to 3 years old in some cases necessary. It is not damaging to the child and believe it or not, some people can parent these youngsters to the point of no disruption to others. Your points indicate unclear thinking, perhaps too much eating sand as a kid.
what a weird rant....
Good that he is here and the rehab is underway.....now if only Jinx-elle "Yoko Ono" Bundchen would hit the road...walk your own dog, you lazy Euro-weenie, Tom has work to do....
please, no comparisons to namath lol -- we don't want a drunken senior citizen Tom Brady trying to kiss a sideline reporter during a Patriots game in 2030.
Do what my parents did, drop me off at the Grand Canyon.
Good luck Brady. Rehab is extremely important, which im already sure you know. Wish you a speedy recovery mate.
Wow, and 8-second video of Brady's locker...
Message to angry pats fan,
Giselle is from Brazil. You obviously dont get out much. Its always amusing to see people use incorrect associations in these web posts.
The Pat's season last year was amazing but I am enjoying this year much more. BB may be difficult to stomach but he is a super coach. The team just keeps demonstrating what team work really means. Go Pat's!
I hope it is not just a publicity stunt. Has anyone actually seen him? It would be just like BB to do something like this to keep the media off guard and away from his player.
Message to PatsfaninLux:
Yes I know she is from Brazil, but she acts like a self-important Euro-weenie and I don't like her or her attitude. Call it poetic license.
