LaMont Jordan among 5 players downgraded to out
The Patriots announced that five players have been downgraded to out for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, a group that includes RB LaMont Jordan (right calf).
The complete list of downgraded players who will not play is:
Jordan had limited participation in practice throughout the week and was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report (50-50 chance of playing). Morris, Sanders and Crable were listed as doubtful, while Slater was questionable.
Without Jordan and Morris, the Patriots will enter with just three healthy running backs for the second straight game -- Kevin Faulk, BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Heath Evans.
With Sanders out for the second straight game, the Patriots lose a player who could have been an important part of their nickel package.
Slater's contributions have come mostly on special teams, while Crable has been inactive for every game this season.

C'mon ya chada heads, get it together. Ya look like a bunch of retodds..
Louie,
You'd make a better impression if you went back, finished the first grade, and wiped the drool off your chin son. But it's up to you, of course. Free country and all.
Well, Kevin Faulk is going to have to save the day again. No running game against the Colts means no chance. Their D will key on Cassel all game.
TYPICAL NY Pizza Face fans, talking that lie filled want to be trash. BUT, you get it wrong ALWAYS. The jokes on you.
Cheers!!!
PS: Your getting laughed at...That's not a good thing.
This is a colts blowout win. Pats have no chance tonight. Colts need the game more than we do.
I don't know what’s up with this guy, but based on BB's comment the week he got hurt "I think he's a quick healer." and now three or four weeks later with him still not playing. BB never ever says anything about injuries, so for him to say that, tells me there was little to no injury with him as far as he was concerned. I think this guy must be dogging it and BB is losing confidence in him. I think he is going to turn out to be another bust for them at RB. He got his paycheck now he just wants to go through the motions. There is a reason guys like this are on the market. The Pat’s are not the only ones who can judge talent and motivation. He certainly has the talent, but seems to lack the motivation.
The Pat’s need to find a STARTING RB that is willing and able to play a 16 plus game season. Morris has also never come close to doing this. In 9 seasons, he has only played in all 16 games three times, but in those 3 seasons, he only carried the ball 20 times or less. He never has been close to a starter, carrying the ball more than 100 times just once. His best year was for the Dolphins in 2004, in 13 games he had 132 carries for 523 yards. Corry Dillon had 500 yard in 2 games for the Pat’s his first year.
Yeah, I thought BBs comment 'he's a quick healer' was weird at the time, now it seems it was dripping with sarcasm.
Im not a footballer, and loathe to criticise them for not being 'tough', given the pain they often play through, but jeez! a calf injury?
I fear for the Pats tonight.
Ricomandog and GlassgowPat,
Jordan re-aggravated his injury last week, so the fact that he practiced although be it on a limited basis this past week is a testament to him being a quick healer. A mild calf strain you can recover from within a few weeks and a severe one will take 6 weeks or longer. Since he re-aggravated it, his return will take longer now.
nikos,
How do you know he re-aggravated the calf? He didnt play last week. When I first found out he was out I was shocked. All signs pointed to his return this week. I am really disappointed in BB and SP this year in regards to their personel decisions. Number 1 priority next year is a full-time starting RB. Maroney, Morris, and Jordan are not going to cut it.
Rickb101,
According to NFL Network insider Adam Schefter, LaMont Jordan aggravated his calf injury the previous Wednesday. The Patriots were expecting him to return vs the Rams.
