  1. What about Tom Brady? I read he was back in Foxboro this week. Wouldn't he be questionable? I hope he comes back soon he is my favorite player.

  1. Is there a chance Adalius comes back for the playoffs, and thus they are not putting him on the IR? Otherwise he's holding up a spot right?

  1. Encouraging that AD is not on the IR yet. Stephen Neal continues to be an injury machine. Are we ever going to get some RB's back or what???

  1. Sanders, Jordan, and Morris = soft. They should be permanent waterboys instead. What a bunch a pansies!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Mike -

AD still being listed and not being put on IR at this point is interesting. With a big game at hand like this one you would think BB&SP would have signed someone or activated a player off the practice squad. What will be even stranger is if they don't do it by tomorrow then there is a fair chance AD might be able to come back later this year. Wouldn't that be something? Knowing how they hate ESPN I wonder if in Foxboro are sitting back with a wry smile when ESPN broke the news that AD was done for the season.

  1. Was that post a joke, Carl? If not, the big news story for the entire NFL this year is that Tom Brady is out for the season. He's not coming back this year, and he might even miss the beginning of next year, depending on how his recovery goes.

  1. Zak made some good points in regards to AT. There are some players out there that could fit in. If AD is not going to be available for post season play, if the Pats get there, then BB is oncve again be overly stubborn again by not putting him on IR to open up a roster spot. BB has been far too stubborn as of late in making some important player personnel decisions. Sure, he's had a good career with the Pats, but stubborness and refusal to make moves when it is apparent that a move is necessary is plain stubborn ignorance. Ty Law is a good example, too. Again, dont get me wrong, BB has been a solid head coach, but that does not mean that is free from making e3rrors in judgement.

  1. Since when did everyone become roster experts and talent eveluators?? A lot of the general public seems to think they know more about roster decisions while BB is stubborn?? Last year BB was too quick to IR players, like Sammy Morris, according to some and this year he is stubborn?! How about everyone just watch the games from the stands and tv and leave the roster evaluation and game planning to BB, staff and SP/FO/scouts. I'm growing tired of all the armchair experts out there giving their opinion and making it seem like it's fact. Seems to me as though BB makes a lot more solid moves as a coach and evaluator vs bad ones, no one is correct 100% of the time, except for Mike Allen and John Tomase of course.

  1. Mike Allen - I would say Belichick summed up his evaluation of talent by a comment he made today (whether or not intentionally, it addressed the Law situation). It's about performance and not pedigree. Mangini is absolutely desperate - how could you possibly think otherwise if he is going to throw money at 34 year old Ty Law at this point.

Belichick has be a GREAT, EXCELLENT, INCREDIBLE coach and not just a good coach who is stubborn. By the way, expect to see AD play with a cast on soon.

  1. Mike Allen = Fans that read this blog everyday grow so weary of his comments. How many times have different people called him out? Go back to your little fan club!

  1. hahah...why is everyone picking on MIke Allen, i like his insight, as all he does is highlight all the Pat's flaws (mostly his opinion). I mean who else will. Don't get him started on Hobbs, he has never missed a shot to put down Hobbs.

  1. MIKE ALLEN,

There is a reason why BB gets paid the big bucks to run the Pats and you live in your Mom's basement and play armchair GM on the internet. If you know your stuff like you think you do, please take the steps to become a GM in the league. If not, please shut your mouth and be a fun like the rest of us.

We are not in the organization, dont have access to shouting report, and thus do not know everything that goes on behind the scenes with personel decisions.

  1. hey Sonny -

be careful what you say about Mike. I wouldn't stop for change at any toll booths if I were you.

  1. It looks like the Jets upgraded their WRs to "probable". If Morris comes back I like our chances.

To the "Pats Guy" that says that Morris is soft "pansy", you have no clue. But I expect that you have considerable talent evaluating who should be a waterboy, having played that position extensively.

  1. Mike Allen is some old guy who lives in Arizona and thinks he is a football genius because he had some minor association with the sport 30 years ago.

Just like Matt Walsh, who somehow made his job as a cameraman seem like he was a coordinator who was writing the game plan for the Super Bowl.

In 2001, Mike used to whine about the Patriots' offense every week right up until they won the Super Bowl. Good to see that some things never change.

  1. I read this blog because of Mike Reiss, not because of Forrest Gump Mike Allen. Typical "sky is falling" type fan. ... life is fun if you try to enjoy it. ...

  1. Could be that the between the option of 1) AD maybe returning/maybe not and 2) the available talent for their needs, option 1 is CURRENTLY a better option.

If BB and SP thought that there was a better option they would act on it.
