  1. What a difference a year makes. Although it is mostly on the seahawks.

  1. Who'd they move to that spot?

  1. That stinks for those of us out of the Patriots television market. We've now gone from a sure-fire game we get to see to a maybe we get to see it game. Mike, do you know if that is CBS' double-header weekend?

  1. Jim in SC,

In Week 14, it will be a FOX doubleheader weekend.

  1. I think this is good for the Pats competitively. One of the only things that can get a lousy team fired up late in the season is a lively, raucus crowd egging them on. Seattle has a good home field advantage to begin with, and the night game aspect would have bolstered that. Playing a 1pm game (Seattle time) takes some of that home field advantage away, I think.

I wonder if this makes it more likely that the Cardinals game (Dec. 21) gets flexed into a nighttime slot. That game will likely have playoff implications for both teams.

  1. Ugh. I was going to fly from San Diego to see it on the only direct flight there, on Jetblue for a day trip. Now I'd have to fly there on Saturday and stay til Monday morning. Screw that.

  1. is it me or do the colts get all the calls all the time?

  1. For any of you going to Seattle for the game, there will be a huge Patriots pre-game party at The Showbox SoDo (1700 1st Ave. S., a few blocks south of Qwest Field). Now a 9AM start time. It's being put on by the Boston Sports Fan Group of Seattle.

I'm a little bummed that this got switched (being a west coaster), but I agree with ProvMan, it's mostly because the Seahawks have tanked their season. Hopefully lots of Hawks fans will sell their tickets to Pats fans now.

  1. JIm should find a local establishment that subscribes to the Sunday NFL ticket. This year the Patriots are rarely on TV in Boise Idaho, but I never have to miss a game! Plus it's fun to hang out with other football fans - all rooting for different teams.

  1. I'd like to see the arizona game get moved to Sunday night as well mainly because I don't want to wake up at 6am to get to Gillette, but also because primetime games are great and that game will be a very high scoring shootout.

  1. Hey Chris! It's Justin! I guess we're gonna have to get our party on a little earlier...just hope my flight outta Boston isn't delayed!

  1. This really sucks. We get screwed out of a Nationally televised game for those of us who don't live in New England. It's not like the Pats are terrible this year.

  1. While NE/Seattle isn't quite Game of the Week material, Washington/Baltimore is just a dreadful choice to replace it. That's going to be a 13-7 type of game, not exactly prime time football if you ask me.

  1. As a Pats fan living in Seattle I hope this makes it easier for me to get tickets.

  1. Ahhhh! My 18-month old will be up at 4:15 instead of in bed for the night at 8:15. Now I'll only get to watch with one eye.

  1. Hey Mike what about flexing in Pittsburgh/ New England? Thats a game we need to have if we're going anywhere - do you think we have a shot at that win with the way Cassel is playing?

  1. I would bet that Chris and Justin got paid to write that, or it's an ad bot or something.

  1. At least if you have Direct TV and Sunday Ticket you can catch the less glamorous games this year.

  1. Those of you out of market who have family/friends in the Boston market should consider getting a slingbox. It's not exactly Sunday Ticket, but at least you see the games (that goes for the Sox on NESN as well!)

  1. Hey Jim - get Direct TV and sign up for NFL Sunday ticket. Then you can watch any game you want and not worry about what games your market is getting. It's great.

  1. If the giants clinch home field early, those of you out of market will just have to hope that Pats-Cards will get flexed to sunday night in week 16 over Giants-Panthers.

Sorry Jim in SC, you can expect to see only one game on CBS and that will be cle-ten at 1pm.

  1. Not surprising. This is definitely more about Seattle than it is about New England; the same probably would have happened if the Pats had Brady and were 11-1.

  1. Robots

  1. Hmmm, I think the Matt Cassel imitates the rise of that Brady guy is a better story than Skins/Ravens and would have attracted a biiger TV audience. Just a Pats fan's tought.

  1. pats-hawks is not a great game, ok, but redskins-ravens is the replacement? and why is that a better game? two boring teams going nowhere...
