Gasper: 3 things to watch vs. Bills

Written Summary
Gasper says to keep an eye on:

  • Matt Cassel -- The Patriots quarterback took a big step forward against Indianapolis; will New England open it up against an injured Bills secondary?
  • Pass protection -- Nick Kaczur gave the Patriots a boost by returning at right tackle last week and the injury to defensive end Aaron Schobel is a big loss for Buffalo.
  • Secondary health -- The Patriots brought in cornerback Jason Webster to help with mounting injuries and New England will need a big effort from its secondary given Buffalo's quality skill position players.

Reiss: Special teams is key matchup

Written Summary

  • After coach Bill Belichick pointed to special teams as the first thing to worry about against the Bills, Reiss checked in with former Buffalo special teamer Sam Aiken about what makes that unit so successful. Aiken said it starts with coach Bobby April and a points/awards system that he's instituted to help motivate special teamers.
