Wheatley ruled out

The Patriots and Bills released their Friday injury reports:

PATRIOTS

Out
CB Terrence Wheatley (left wrist)

Doubtful
RB Sammy Morris (knee)
CB Lewis Sanders (hamstring)

Questionable
LB Eric Alexander (hamstring)
CB Ellis Hobbs (shoulder)
RB LaMont Jordan (right calf)
KR Matthew Slater (ankle)
NT Vince Wilfork (toe)

Wheatley, Morris, Sanders and Jordan did not participate in Friday's practice. Alexander, Hobbs, Slater and Wilfork were limited. WR Randy Moss has been removed from the list.

BILLS

Out
G Brad Butler (knee)
WR Josh Reed (ankle)
DE Aaron Schobel (foot)
S Donte Whitner (shoulder)
CB Ashton Youboty (foot)

Questionable
LB Kawika Mitchell (ankle)
G Jason Whittle (back)

The five players designated out did not practice today. Mitchell and Whittle were limited.

  1. It seems based on him holding his arm/wrist as he left the field that Wheatley has some sort of break of his wrist. I am guessing that they think it is a 4 week injury keeping him from the IR.I hope not & hope to see him back in the lineup soon.

  1. I think the bigger story is really on their end. Schobel, Reed & Whitner are major components of their team.

  1. totally agree sonny. those are big names that they will miss. i hope wilfork and hobbs can get back out there. i doubt jordan will....

  1. Jordan....didn't know he played for the Pats. I thought I saw him out there once, but then again, I could have been hungover or something.

    The Redskins just released a talented young corner/special teamer, Leigh Torrence. I had asked about Hall earlier in the week knowing he wasn't a good fit, but Torrence seems like the Pats kind of guy.
