Video: Gasper on Welker
FOXBOROUGH -- The Globe's Chris Gasper shares his thoughts after Wes Welker spoke to the media for the first time since enduring a big hit from Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark in New England's 33-10 loss to the Steelers Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
Welker was present during the portion of practice open to the media Wednesday, and you can read more of his Q&A with the media.

imagine the outcry around the league if the teams and player names where changed on this story. for example, what do you think would happen (penalty, thrown out of game, fine, suspension) if the exact same hit scenario involved rodney harrison and marvin harrison..
yup , the outcry would be relentless if it were rodney harrison hitting marvin harrison like that. probably fines and a suspension too.
I can say Wes Welker is one tough guy. I hurt watching him get hit like he did. I agree the outcry would be loud if Rodney Harrison made that hit. There really should be a suspension on a play like that. I like good hits, but that was wrong and un-neccessary,
3. Rodney Harrison was voted the "Dirtiest Player in the League" BY HIS PEERS. Shuddup. It was not like Light pulling hair and punching a guy without a helmet..... POOR LOSER IN FOXBOROUGH
Hey Steelers Guy, if you're not a complete idiot then Light would be if he had ounched him WITH a helmet! Whatg's your point? Your guy made a dirty play. Worst of the year... and your classless assneck can't admit it.
I guess the news just isnt that exciting in Steeler town so their fans troll along here or do I detect a guilty conscience?
Cheap hit on the smallest guy on the field. A proud football moment.
Patriot fans quit your belly aching - NFL deemed hit was legal - suck it up and quit whining - you all are beginning to sound like the Baltimore Ravens
