Kraft ranks highly among most influental in sports
The Sports Business Journal ranks the Top 50 most influential people in sports business, and Patriots chairman/CEO Robert Kraft is No. 12.
The write-up on Kraft, one of four football owners in the Top 50, reads this way:
Robert Kraft continues his run as one of the NFL's most important owners.Even with the loss of star quarterback Tom Brady, the Patriots’ admired depth and football system has kept the club in the playoff hunt. Off the field, Kraft’s post as chairman of the broadcast committee keeps him on top of the league’s biggest revenue line, and the opening of the retail Patriot Place adjacent to Gillette Stadium is a trendsetter for stadium and retail development.
Kraft also has groomed his son, Jonathan, as a leading team executive, ensuring that the Kraft name will continue to be an influential one in NFL circles for many years to come.

Thank GOD his name isn't Bidwill.
I have been impressed with the operation of the Patriots since Mr. Kraft took over. But, the blog does not point out that Mr. John Henry of the Red Sox and Mr. Jeremy Jacobs of the Bruins also made the top 50. And, with the Celtics playing at a blistering pace so far this season, it won't be too long before Mr “Wyc” Grousbeck joins the list, making Boston the home of 4 of the top 50 sports executives listed.
IMHO, Mr. Grousbeck should have made the list this time around, as the return of the legendary Boston Celtics has put basketball not only in Boston but nationally back on the map.
