Wow... Those third-down and red-zone numbers on defense are pretty scary!
Hanging out with the Detroit Lions' D at the bottom of the league; The 8 wins this season in light of those stats really says something about the team overall.
Great job on covering the team Mike!
I was surprised to find out that they are only ranked 18th in points scored until I remembered that they have a bad ranking in converting red zone opportunities to TDs. Based on these stats and other you have posted, the Pats are who they are and are probably lucky to be 8-5.
They are lucky to be 8-5 with those stats. Those are some of the most important stats in football and they look bad for the pats. The O is ranked 18, but people wanted to keep Matt C and trade brady. Last year they had the best O in history and this year 18th, but people want Matt. mmmm yup he's doing a great job. PS they need to make a lot of changes on D.
@ Ryan:
Yes, i'm pretty sure that using fourth and fifth string defenders wasn't on the game plan from the beginning of the year... I have a feeling that they will make lots of "changes" when half of the defense comes off of the pro bowl roster injured reserve.
hmm, strike through doesn't exactly work here I guess.
The pro bowl roster was supposed to be crossed out.
