Cassel part of Super hype
TAMPA -- Patriots QB Matt Cassel is scheduled to be in Tampa later this week as part of the Super Bowl XLIII hype. Cassel will be here with Gatorade.
Gatorade, which is re-branding itself as "G", will have a "studio" set up in the Tampa Convention Center. Cassel is one of the athletes scheduled to be present to assist in the marketing efforts.
What a difference a year makes for Cassel.
At this time last year, he was a backup who didn't draw much media attention in the Patriots' pursuit of a perfect season in Super Bowl XLII. After helping lead the Patriots to an 11-5 record in 2008, Cassel's profile has risen.
Last week, Cassel made the media rounds after winning the Vizio Top Value Performer Award.

cassel with gatorade!? good for him haha
G? What's wrong with gatorade?
This is great, for Cassel and the Patriots. I hope he gets as much publicity as possible in the coming months. It will make him more valuable because more publicity equals more profit for a team. And we all know Cassel can handle the attention.
If the Patriots could regain their lost 1st-rounder, I'd be thrilled.
On a side note, why on earth is Gatorade changing their name to G? "Gatorade" is so much more original. Is it to sound more technical? Because we all know Gatorade is made out of simple carbs and electrolytes. If they wanted to get technical, they could put out an option with more complex carbs and flavor it with stevia, keeping the electrolytes. My .02.
Matt is going to make more money in one day selling sticky yellow syrup than he made all last year as a quarterback.
Matty will also be a guest on the Colin Cowherd Show tomorrow on ESPN Radio. They didn't give a specific time.
