McDaniels interview set for Friday with Rams

Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who previously interviewed for head coaching vacancies with the Browns and Broncos, is scheduled to interview with the Rams on Friday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

    On WEEI this morning, M. Holley said that Eric Mangini is scheduled to be named head coach of the Browns by the end of this week. PFT is also confirming the report. Any word?

  1. Hi JD. Haven't heard anything myself on that one. It doesn't look to me like PFT is confirming it, but instead, citing the original report. It seems like it was heading in that direction.

  1. I hope JM is not serious about that job which could be the worst open HC position in the league. I say that because the Rams are going to be sold in the near future and from what has been reported the Rams are nickel& diming the salary of their next HC. Several potential candidates have been eliminated based on $$ required to sign them. With his pedigree(OC for the Pats) he certainly can get a better opportunity than to become possibly a lame duck coach when the new ownership brings in a new GM etc.
