Ted Johnson on Radio Row at Super Bowl

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff January 28, 2009 11:25 AM

TAMPA -- Former Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson is making the rounds on "Radio Row" this morning. Why is he here?

Ted Johnson
"To raise awareness of the long-term effects of concussions," he said. "Just to educate people a little bit better. It's kind of groundbreaking stuff and people don't understand it, and what they don't understand, they fear. It's to help guys, maybe if they're in a situation where they're not feeling good, make an informed decision. You want guys at the professional level to know what the risks are when it comes to head trauma, and let them make the decision."

Johnson reported that he's feeling as good as he has in recent years. He's co-teaching a class at Suffolk University, and will be teaching his own class there in the fall.

  1. Ted Johnson GO HOME! I’m surprised he’s not still trying to whip the media into a frenzy with that “Belichick of made me practice w/ a concussion” story. Ted Johnson tarnished his reputation with all that nonsense in 2007. He’s a boob.

  1. He should meet with Scalabrine. They have more in common now.

  1. Keep it up Ted, you are single-handily starting an important conversation that most folks just want to ignore and pretend it does not happen.
