Tom Brady says he's on course
ALLSTON -- Quarterback Tom Brady made a charity appearance today at a Boys and Girls club as part of the Patriots Charitable Foundation and answered questions for more than 12 minutes in his most expansive comments since his knee injury.
Brady indicated that his recovery remains on schedule and he sees no reason why he won't be ready for the Patriots' season opener.
We'll have much more in a bit ...
Mike Reiss, Christopher L. Gasper and the rest of the Globe team provide regular updates –and a behind-the-scenes look– on the daily happenings of the Patriots.

Here's one benefit of being injured in week 1 instead of in the playoffs.
He will be ready. How good will he be remains to be seen. No matter what players may say, there is a psychological block in the back of their mind that can make them a different player than they were before a major injury. I hope that is not the case with Brady. I dont think it will be.
