Wright deal confirmed
A source with knowledge of the Patriots thinking has confirmed that defensive lineman Mike Wright and the team have reached agreement on a four-year deal for about $7.5 million, as was first reported by John Clayton of ESPN.

Nicely done. Mike Wright is a very valuable piece of the machine.
Carl Parisien Natick MA says: good deal to sign this guy. Sounds like they got him for a decent price also.
Good signing, he's played well for our Pats over the years!
Now we see why Belecheck traded Cassel early instead of waiting for the draft in terms of freeing up money - Bolden,S Sanders, Wright, Galloway and Springs. And more to come!
Where are the Pats now salary cap-wise? do they have room to get one or two of their next year guys signed?
Does this not seem overly pricey for a back-up?
Pretty much means, they will not be re-signing Seymour next year
Definitely overly pricey for the 2nd sub
Mike Wright was a beast towards the tail end of last seaon coming up right down the middle and applying a lot of pressure on opposing QBs. I think he matured a lot since 2007 and seems like a smarter player now in addition to his athletic talent. I think he is now ahead of Jarvis green and Not far behind warren who also had an off yer like green.
Hopefully Mike can stay healthy in the years he is not playing for a new contract...
